Privacy policy
Template — requires legal review before launch. This policy describes how the Right Match software handles data. The operator must confirm the legal entity, lawful bases, retention periods and applicable law (e.g. Pakistan’s data-protection framework, UK/EU GDPR, and others where members live) with a qualified lawyer.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), optional phone number, consent records and age confirmation.
- Profile & questionnaire answers: display name, date of birth (shown only as age), gender, location (country and city only), education, profession, family background, religious practice, lifestyle, marriage goals, partner preferences and photos. Many of these are optional.
- Special-category data: religious beliefs and practice are sensitive. We process them only because you choose to provide them, to recommend compatible matches.
- Activity: interests sent, matches, favourites, blocks, reports, messages, and basic security logs (IP address for rate limiting and fraud prevention).
- Payments: payment reference, amount, status and the provider’s transaction ID. We never receive or store card numbers or wallet PINs.
- Verification documents: if you submit ID for verification, it is stored privately, viewed only by authorised moderators and deleted after review [retention period to be confirmed].
3. How we use it
- To provide matching: deal-breaker filtering and transparent compatibility scores based on your stated preferences.
- To keep the community safe: moderation, fraud prevention, rate limiting and responding to reports.
- To process payments and send service emails (verification, password resets, receipts, safety notices).
We do not sell personal data. We do not use automated decisions that produce legal effects; compatibility scores are guidance only.
4. Who can see your profile
Only signed-in members who pass the eligibility rules and your privacy settings. Contact details, exact birth date and precise location are never shown. Profiles are not indexed by search engines.
5. Sharing
With service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, email delivery, payment processing), and where required by law. [List processors and international transfer safeguards.]
6. Retention & deletion
You can delete your account in Settings. Your profile is hidden immediately and personal data is removed after a 14-day grace period. Payment records are retained as required for accounting [period to be confirmed]. Security logs are kept for [period].
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, and object to processing. Use Settings → Download my data, or contact us.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, CSRF protection, access controls, rate limiting and private storage for uploads. No system is perfectly secure, and no website can prevent another person from taking screenshots of what they are shown.
9. Children
The service is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We remove accounts that appear to belong to minors.
10. Changes
We will notify members of material changes to this policy.
